This term the St. Augustine Bible Institute and College welcomes Rev. Dr. Nick Marziani to its instructional staff. Dr. Marziani has Master Degrees in Marine Policy and Theological Studies as well as an earned Doctor of Ministry from Trinity School of Ministry in Ambridge, PA. He has expertise in Jewish-Christian Relations, Christian Worldview issues and participated in Oxford Roundtable. Dr. Marziani taught courses at Flagler College, St. Leo’s University, several local high schools and has held various positions with the Episcopal/Anglican Church. He will be teaching THE 262: Comparative Religions on Monday nights beginning February 1.

The course will provide a comparative study of world religious systems as related to the Biblical principles of Christianity. It will explore the three major religious traditions, their constituent sub-groupings, and how various historical, cultural, and spiritual factors shaped those traditions and the societies that embraced them.

Comparative Religions is one of the courses required for all degrees. It is especially helpful for those working the field of counseling and chaplaincy. Students will be given tools to sympathetically and empathetically present Gospel of Christ to adherents of non-Christian religions.

The St. Augustine Bible Institute and College welcomes back Rev. Chuck Lichtenberger, instructor of Old Testament, who will be teaching OTS 222: Nehemiah on Tuesday nights, beginning February 2.

Also on Tuesday night will be PTH 205: Spiritual Formation/Personal Growth taught by Patricia Webb. The course will explore classic inward, outward and corporate spiritual disciplines that allow God to transform us through His grace, and experience confidence through an awareness of God's presence and power.

PTH 308 Principles of church Growth will be presented as a Weekend Seminar March 12 & 13. The Seminar, presented as a community enrichment event will be available to all church, marketplace and community leaders. The seminar and follow-up for the college course will be led by Dr. David Beachamp, Pastor of Crescent Beach Baptist Church.

Evening classes will be held 6-9:00 P.M. Registration is Tuesday night, January 26, 6:30 P.M. For more information call 904-824-5512 or check the website www.sabiac.org.
